ATT&CK Con 4.0: Interpres Security Presents Session on Intelligence Engineering

MCLEAN, Va., October 23, 2023Interpres Security, a company dedicated to right-sizing and optimizing defenses to reduce threat exposure, today announced its participation at MITRE ATT&CKCON 4.0, taking place October 24-25 at MITRE Corporation’s headquarters in McLean, VA. Specifically, Scott Roberts, Head of Threat Research at Interpres Security, is presenting at ATT&CKCON on “Driving Intelligence with MITRE ATT&CK: Leveraging Limited Resources to Build an Evolving Threat Repository.”

Commencing at 1:15pm ET on Wednesday, October 25, Scott’s presentation will discuss a real-world use case of how his team at Interpres combined ATT&CK, STIX2, the Vertex Project’s open-source intelligence platform, Synapse, and custom code to deliver meaningful, rapid, verifiable intelligence to customers. He will share lessons learned on automation, how to run multiple ATT&CK libraries side-by-side and how to make programmatic intelligence delivery scalable and effective.

About Scott Roberts

Scott Roberts is a security leader, analyst, software developer, and author. He is the Head of Threat Research for Interpres Security and has led security teams and projects in the defense industrial base, GitHub, Apple, Splunk, and most recently, Argo AI. He is also a researcher at Utah State University, where his is focused on Anticipatory Intelligence – tackling emergent problems in national and cybersecurity. Roberts has served as an advisory committee member for SANS CTI & DFIR Summits.
